DLZ SPORTS
NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) legislation has given athletes and businesses increased opportunities to profit through their deals with one another. However, many share one key misconception about NIL contracts: that they exist only in multimillion dollar deals.
Not all NIL deals feature the athlete in commercials or on towering billboards. Any athlete, if the correct “fit” for the company they endorse, can benefit from this policy. NIL comes in many forms. It can be a paid appearance at a local burger joint, where the athlete is the “hometown hero.” It can be a social media post by an athlete who has less than 5k followers, highlighting the benefits of a small activewear business. The athlete may be compensated with money or with free products.
It is my goal to help athletes secure these deals, regardless of their size or scale. I plan to offer them my knowledge, to perform outreach to companies for them. I also plan to help businesses by connecting them with athletes who can promote their products and services to attract more customers and increase profits.
